Hand painted Ima.
“Ima” is a type of turban wore by Sudanese men. It is exceptionally long compared to other cultures that wear it because in the date of the Mahdist era, men would wear in the a battle so that if they are killed it is then used as a burial shroud. Every tribe in Sudan has a special way of wrapping the “Ima”.
